Liaison Student Benefits

  • Policy Maximum: $250,000 Medical maximum lifetime, $50,000 for spouse/child.
  • Deductible:
    • Non U.S. Students: $100 if not first treated by the Student Health Center (or if there is no Student Health Center) $50 if first treated by the Student Health Center.
    • US Citizens: Options: $50 / $0.
  • Co-insurance:
    • Non U.S. Students: 80% to $10,000, then 100% to plan maximum.
    • US Citizens: Options: 100% to plan maximum.
  • Mental illness:
    • Inpatient: Payable at 50%, up to $10,000 up to a max of 45 days. .
    • Outpatient: Payable at 80% , up to $500.
  • Sports Coverage:
    • Non-US Students: $5,000
    • US-Students: Up to policy Maximum.
  • Additional Coverage:
    • Accidental death & dismemberment - $10,000 for insured.
    • Alcohol and drug abuse - Inpatient/Outpatient (payable at 50% up to $1,000)
    • Home country coverage - $1,000.
  • Other Emergency Care:
    • Emergency Medical Evacuation - Up to $100,000 .
    • Repatriation of Mortal Remains - Up to $25,000.
    • Emergency Reunion - $5,000.
  • Plan life: The minimum period of coverage under Liaison Student is 15 days, maximum is 12 months.

Liaison Student satisfies j1 visa requirements

  • J1 Visa requires that the insurance plan must offer a coverage of at least $50,000 per accident or illness and Liaison Student Insurance satisfies this requirement by offering a maximum medical benefit of $250,000
  • J1 Visa requires that the insurance plan must offer a coverage of $7,500 for Repatriation of remains and Liaison Student Insurance covers repatriation of remains up to $25,000
  • J1 Visa requires that the insurance plan must offer a coverage of $10,000 for Emergency Medical Evacuation and Liaison Student Insurance covers emergency medical evacuation up to $100,000
  • J1 Visa requires that the deductible should not exceed $500 per accident or illness and Liaison Student Insurance has a deductible of up to $100 per illness or injury
